  1. Svajda bidding for Djokovic upsetpublished at 18:23 British Summer Time 27 August

    Djokovic 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 0-0 Svajda*

Novak Djokovic may have levelled the match but the 24-time Grand Slam champion is still looking a bit hot and bothered out there, and qualifier Zachary Svajda is showing no signs of rolling over.

The American is ranked 145th in the world so if he can hang in there and make this a test of stamina against the 38-year-old, he could become the lowest-ranked player ever to beat Djokovic at a Grand Slam.

Svajda then nets to bring up three set points and Djokovic gets it done with an unreturnable serve.

Interesting to see Djokovic coming to the net a bit more frequently here in the early stages of the second set, maybe already thinking about how to keep the points shorter compared to the first set.

Wow! What a point. That was so tight, both players were so tense, you could just see them barely make the net. And then one moment of bravery for Svajda. That was all it took. Brilliantly hit backhand down the line gets him the first set against the greatest player of all time.
