Mountain bikes: Manon Carpenter wins latest leg of the British series

Manon Carpenter won the seven-race 2014 World Series on 1360 points

Manon Carpenter maintained her lead in the women's British Cycling Mountain Bike Downhill Series by winning the latest leg in Llangollen.

The 2014 World Downhill champion, who rides for the Madison Saracen team, finished 9.573 seconds ahead of her nearest rival Katy Curd.

The series continues on 27-28 June in Bala, north Wales.

Welsh rider Carpenter, 22, is next in action at the World Series at Fort William in Scotland on 6-7 June.
