    Wide receiver - LSU

It's a decent class of wide receivers this year and a vintage year for LSU wideouts as another goes in the first round in the form of Brian Thomas Jr.

He's a tall receiver who manages to get clear of defenders and is able to stretch the field with his pace. He's also got a large wingspan - pretty handy when needing to catch a ball.

Back to Detroit though, where the Eagles have picked cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, who in any other year may well have been a top 10 pick.

Former Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles scout Daniel Jeremiah talking about Chop Robinson on Sky Sports: "This is a fastball off the edge in Chop Robinson. He is fast. His name is Chop and ironically, he does have a bit of a choppy run."

  12. 'He's a bully'published at 03:27 26 April

Former Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles scout Daniel Jeremiah talking about Jared Verse on Sky Sports: "This is a physical, rugged, line rusher. He's a bully. He is going to test your brakes, he will test the brakes of offensive tackles for free. He also has the speed. A very rugged, physical football player. I'm a big fan of his game."

  13. Pick 19 - Los Angeles Rams select Jared Versepublished at 03:24 26 April

    Defensive end - Florida State

The Los Angeles Rams take their time as they're not used to making first-round picks - this is their first since selecting Jared Goff back in 2016.

And the Rams select a defensive player in the first round for the first time since 2014 when they took the recently retired legend Aaron Donald.

Jared Verse has some big shoes to fill but he wears big shoes and he puts his weight around on the field as a bully of an edge rusher.

Former Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles scout Daniel Jeremiah talking about Dallas Turner on Sky Sports: "This tells you what sort of night it has been. 20. Who is Dallas Turner?published at 03:10 26 April

    Linebacker - Alabama

In a draft packed with offensive talent, linebacker Turner was perhaps THE outstanding defensive prospect.

The 21 year old has been a monster for the Alabama defence over the past three seasons with 120 tackles (33.5 for a loss) and 23.5 sacks.

Coming from the same Alabama footballing factory that produced last year’s Defensive Rookie of the Year - the Texans’ Will Anderson - Turner has plenty of the right grounding to be an NFL success.

However, NFL Network draft expert Daniel Jerermiah says Turner and Anderson “are not similar at all. Dallas has a little more juice in terms of his get-off and burst. It's pretty elite”.

The tenacious 6ft 4in pass rusher was a consensus All-American in college - NFL quarterbacks need to watch out.
