Storytellers: The performers of the Invisible Circus are getting ready to reveal the history of the Christmas Steps in the city centre. From 14:00 to 18:30 GMT on Saturday 2 November the popular group will be creating an immersive experience at the steps where visitors will find sailors, soldiers, circus legends and shady criminals roaming the area.

Breakfast with a view: From early morning builders to students and people on long-distance bicycle rides, plenty of people factor a visit to dockside eatery Brunel's Buttery into their journeys. Expect big queues at the weekend for their bacon and egg rolls.

Best foot forward: Nearly 90 staff from hotels across Bristol and Bath raised more than £10,000 for the Hospitality Action charity by walking between the DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol City Centre and the Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath. It was the fifth year the Walk for Wellbeing event has taken place.
