Charity boat race makes a splash in city centre

The annual Dragon Boat Race returned to Birmingham city centre for the third year

Scores of rowers have taken to the waterways of Birmingham city centre to raise money for charity.
The Dragon Boat Race saw teams of 17 people go head to head in traditional craft on the canal near The Mailbox on Friday.
Challengers took part in a series of three 200m races with the aim of fundraising for Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
Last year the event raised £265,011.
Teams are made up of 16 rowers and a drummer
