Arizona Governor orders flags be flown at half staff

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer told reporters that she had been "shocked and deeply saddened" by the shooting in Tucson on Saturday, and had ordered flags in the state to be flown at half staff.

Five people were killed and several injured including Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was hosting an event outside a shopping centre.

Ms Giffords was shot in the head and is now in intensive care.
