Australian government says pollution tax a 'handbrake'

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who promised to axe the country's pollution tax during his election campaign last year, is doing his best to have it scrapped.

He's described the tax as an economic "handbrake."

Australia's biggest polluters have to pay the levy. Supporters say it's central to fighting climate change.
