Jaguar Land Rover to create 800 jobs
Jaguar Land Rover has announced the creation of 800 new production jobs at its Solihull plant.
The factory, which produces the Range Rover Discovery and Defender models, already employs 6,000 people.
Vehicle sales in China rose 70% to 71,940, overtaking the UK to become its biggest market, the company said.
Global Brand Director John Edwards said that the company's UK factories were working 24 hours a day to meet demand and Operations director Alan Volkaerts said the results were a "testament to our products".
