Osborne welcomes Barclays' boss bonus waiver

The decision by the chief executive of Barclays Antony Jenkins to waive his bonus has been welcomed by George Osborne.

The Chancellor told BBC News that all bankers had to be "sensible" about pay considering the difficult economic conditions.

Mr Osborne also confirmed that RBS chief executive Stephen Hester would not be taking a bonus.
