Royal Mail privatisation: 'Universal service now in jeopardy' - Dave Ward

Royal Mail workers will be balloted for strike action, the deputy general secretary of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) says.

IT follows the government's formal notice to the stock exchange that it plans to privatise the Royal Mail "in the coming weeks".

CWU's Dave Ward told BBC News that the move was "not being done in the interests of the company" and that investors would "take out more money than they'll ever put in".
