Would consumers benefit from energy levy rollback?

The body representing energy companies has given its reaction to the prime minister's suggestion that MPs needed to "roll back some of the green regulations and charges that are putting up bills".

Three firms have announced price rises, blaming increased distribution costs as well as environmental and social levies.

Chief executive of Energy UK Angela Knight told BBC Breakfast: "There are some costs which - if they are relieved off the bill - will make a very decent and good difference to households".
