UK GDP: Fastest growth for three years

The UK economy grew by 0.8% cent between July and September - the fastest pace for three years.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics show all sectors of the economy grew, including a 2.5% rise in the construction industry.

Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne said that Britain was on the "path to prosperity" but Labour said the rising cost of living meant that for millions of people it did not feel like a recovery.

The BBC's chief economics correspondent Hugh Pym reports.
