US Senate set to confirm Janet Yellen as Fed chair

The US Senate is expected to vote and confirm Janet Yellen as the next chair of the Federal Reserve.

Ms Yellen is currently the Fed's deputy chair and will replace incumbent Ben Bernanke on 1 February, becoming the first woman ever to hold the post.

The changeover comes at a tricky time, as Michelle Fleury reports from New York.
