Npower writes off some backdated bills after customer anger
Energy giant npower has agreed to write off some backdated bills, a week after customers aired their complaints on BBC Radio 5 live.
Several ex-customers received bills from npower more than six months after leaving the company, even though they thought had made their final payment.
Npower director, Guy Esnouf, told 5 live's Consumer Team that former customers who had not yet received a bill would not have to pay, but those that had received a bill would.
Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis told the programme he was "disappointed" by the offering but Mr Ensouf said they "needed to draw the line somewhere".
