Gordon Brown: There is no coalition pact with SNP

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown has given a speech in his former constituency of Kirkcaldy.

He said there was no chance of any kind of deal between Labour and the SNP: "How, after all, could you have an arrangement with a party that wants to break up the country that you want to build up?"

He said the Conservatives had "retreated into becoming the party of English nationalism against Scottish nationalism".
