Americans watch the Clinton-Trump presidential debate

Watching debates has become a spectator sport and many Americans across the country gathered in public spaces to watch the most highly anticipated presidential debate in recent memory between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

The BBC spent time in the Pacific Northwest and visited Seattle's Comet Tavern and Tumwater's River's Edge Restaurant to watch audiences react to the candidates' comments.

Produced by the BBC's Matt Danzico and Franz Strasser.
