Women in spotlight at Cannes Film Festival
The subject of women's roles in the world of cinema has been in the spotlight at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
This year the event opened with a film directed by a woman for the first time in 28 years, but female directors are vastly outnumbered by their male counterparts.
This year, in an effort to encourage more women to work behind the camera, organisers are hosting a UN conference into equality on the red carpet.
