Reforms will 'destabilise the NHS forever'
Senior doctors have written to David Cameron to warn that the government's plans to reform the NHS in England could "totally destabilise" it and ultimately harm patients.
The letter sent by the Royal College of General Practitioners calls for a total re-think of proposals, which would give private companies and charities far more involvement in healthcare.
Dr Clare Gerada, the chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners told BBC Breakfast she feared it would lead to consortia being able to charge patients and the need for top-up health insurance.
