NHS boss: Leeds heart surgery data needs investigation
A hospital in Leeds has suspended children's heart surgery, after data suggested death rates twice the national average.
The NHS medical director in England, Sir Bruce Keogh, said he had made the decision to halt operations because of concerns that had been raised by cardiologists.
He said figures were taken from raw data that needed further investigation.
