Dr Rosemary Leonard: 'Cosmetic surgery must be made safer'

Everyone who carries out 'filling' cosmetic surgery treatments should be required to complete accredited training, a doctor has warned.

A UK review of cosmetic procedures described injections used to plump up the skin are a "crisis waiting to happen" and should be available only on prescription.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Dr Rosemary Leonard warned that "people will keep having cosmetic surgery - what we need to do is make it safe."
