Inflatable stockings could save many stroke patients

Researchers at Edinburgh University have discovered that giving inflatable stockings to stroke patients could save hundreds of lives a year.

The device, which squeezes the legs, was given to nearly 3,000 patients to help reduce clotting in veins by increasing blood flow.
