Hunt 'committed' to fixing hospitals
Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt says the NHS must tackle 'entrenched failure' after 11 hospitals were placed in special measures because of major failings.
The step, which Mr Hunt described as 'radical' came after an investigation by Prof Sir Bruce Keogh into the 14 hospitals in England with the worst death rates.
Mr Hunt said the most important factor in a hospital's success was quality leadership and that the government was committed to tackling the issues that led to hospital failings.
