First US Ebola patient dies as global response steps up

Thomas Duncan, the first person to be diagnosed with Ebola within the US, has died at hospital in Dallas.

America has increased security at its major airports in order to try to prevent further infections there.

The UK is also increasing its level of precaution and Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has called the virus an "unprecedented threat".
