WHO to investigate its response to Ebola outbreak

The World Health Organization (WHO) has promised to investigate its handling of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, once the virus has been brought under control.

New concerns have been raised about the UN agency's response to the epidemic. A leaked internal WHO document suggests that "nearly everyone involved" in the response to the disease failed to recognise the scale of the problem.
