Can children choose a healthy meal for themselves?

Nutritional guidance on eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day is widely known but new research suggests that many UK school children are not sitting down to a healthy meal at least once a day.

A survey conducted by BBC Newsround suggests that 52 out of 100 children do not eat any vegetables and 44 out of 100 have no fruit on a daily basis.

Ricky Boleto took two pupils shopping to see if they could choose the right elements of a healthy lunch.
