Reliving my first serious memory loss from dementia

More than 525,000 people with dementia in the UK are living at home, the Victoria Derbyshire programme has learned.

The figure, provided by the Alzheimer's Society, represents a significant proportion of the 850,000 people thought to be living with the condition.

Three individuals living with the disease were asked to film parts of their lives over the course of a month for the programme.

Here, Wendy Mitchell - who was diagnosed one year ago - relives the moment of her first significant memory loss.

The Victoria Derbyshire programme is broadcast weekdays from 9:15-11:00 BST on BBC Two and BBC News Channel.
