Backstage with 'chameleon' actor Jefferson Mays on Broadway

Jefferson Mays describes his performance as akin to something between a multiple personality disorder and a chameleon.

The American theatre and film actor plays all eight members of the D'Ysquith family in the Broadway musical comedy A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder.

Mays has plenty of experience playing many different characters in a single show. In I Am My Own Wife, about a German transgender person, he inhabited 37 different roles.

The BBC went backstage with Mays as a team of dressers changed his complicated stage costumes in as little as four seconds.
