A Russian Soyuz rocket has successfully inserted into orbit six US Globalstar 2 communications satellites, according to Russian state TV reports.

The rocket launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome in southern Kazakhstan on Wednesday, having been postponed from Monday because of technical problems.
