Cornwall flooding seen from the skies

Some people have been left trapped in their cars and homes in parts of Cornwall as heavy rain and gale-force winds caused flooding and disruption.

St Blazey, St Austell and Lostwithiel are the worst affected areas, where water is 4ft deep in some places.

Main roads have been closed, landslides have disrupted train services in and out of Cornwall and some schools are shut.

The BBC's Jon Kay took to the skies over Lostwithiel to survey the scene.
