Tony Blair on political turmoil in Libya and wider region
The former UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, has defended Britain's relationship with Colonel Gaddafi while he was in office.
In 2004, Mr Blair shook hands with Colonel Gaddafi in Libya and re-opened diplomatic links with the country.
Mr Blair told the BBC's Matthew Price that he thought the 2004 policy was right at the time but it is now right to try to force Colonel Gaddafi from power.
He also spoke of the wider turmoil in the Middle East.
