Poppy ban: Fifa 'compromise' welcomed
Fifa has agreed to let the England team wear a poppy printed on black armbands during this Saturday's friendly against Spain.
Prince William, who is the FA president, had called on Fifa to overturn the ruling.
Fifa had been concerned that allowing the players to wear poppies would go against its ban on religious or political symbols.
Former Labour sports minister, Richard Caborn said it was right that Fifa had now delivered a compromise. Former FA chief executive, Mark Palios, said it was a move in the right direction.
