Madeleine McCann's parents: Media scrum was dangerous

Gerry McCann, whose daughter Madeleine disappeared in 2007, said the media scrum when he and his wife left Portugal was "frankly dangerous".

He also spoke of how the press camped outside their UK home, leaving them "hemmed in".

Speaking to the Leveson Inquiry into media practices, the couple said their young twins were frightened when photographers would bang on the car windows.
