Hackney shopkeeper: I forgive riot looters

A shopkeeper from Hackney has been speaking about the "great community support" he received after his shop was targeted by looters in last summer's riots.

In an interview with the BBC's Mark Easton, Siva Kandiah said he was not angry about what had happened and that he forgave the rioters.

His comments came as a report into the unrest across England last August was published.

The Riots, Communities and Victims Panel suggested that a lack of support and opportunities for young people had helped to fuel the disturbances.
