George Osborne and Gordon Brown appear at Leveson Inquiry

Gordon Brown and George Osborne have both distanced themselves from Rupert Murdoch and his media business in their evidence to the Leveson Inquiry.

The former prime minister flatly contradicted evidence given under oath to the inquiry by Mr Murdoch, claiming he had never made an angry call in which he had declared war on his companies.

Later, it was the chancellor who denied any undue influence over the Murdoch bid for BSkyB.

The BBC's Nick Robinson reports.
