Theresa May: Police murders 'savage acts'

Home Secretary Theresa May has visited Manchester to voice her support for the police force, following the deaths of two female officers on Tuesday.

PCs Fiona Bone, 32, and Nicola Hughes 23, died in a gun and grenade attack after a call-out to Abbey Gardens in Mottram.

Dale Cregan, 29, remains in custody on suspicion of their murders. A second man, 28, is also being held under suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
