New Archbishop Welby 'optimistic about future of church'

The next Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has described his new appointment as "exciting and astonishing".

The former oil executive, who has been Bishop of Durham for just a year, said he never expected to be chosen to lead the world's Anglican community.
