St Asaph: Floods hit pub as river levels rise

Hundreds of families in St Asaph have been told it is too dangerous to stay in their homes as the River Elwy has risen to record levels.

The torrential rain is expected to ease but there is a continued threat of flooding in the north and central England.

Steven Greig, the head chef at the Plough Pub, which has been badly flooded said the scene was heartbreaking.
