Cameron: 'Strong indications of terrorist incident'

David Cameron has condemned the "sickening" murder of a man in Woolwich, south-east London.

The prime minister, who had travelled to Paris for a meeting with the French president Francois Hollande, is expected to return to the UK earlier than planned. A meeting of Cobra has been convened.

Mr Cameron confirmed that there were "strong indications that this was a terrorist incident".

He added: "We have had these sort of attacks before in our country, and we never buckle in the face of them"
