Jeremy Hunt: 'Special measures for 11 hospitals'

Eleven hospitals in England are being placed in special measures because of major failings, the health secretary has announced.

Speaking in the House of Common, Jeremy Hunt cited examples of staffing problems, poor care and weak leadership.

Each hospital's will now be tracked and monitored and teams of external experts will be sent into the organisations to work with the senior management team.
