UK storm: 'Storm was like a freak of nature'

Homes in Dawlish, Devon, have been evacuated after a section of sea wall under the railway line collapsed in a powerful storm.

Robert Parker left his house around midnight and said he feared it would collapse completely.

He said the winds felt like a hurricane and described it as "like the end of the world".
