Firefighters strike for 24 hours over pensions
Firefighters in England and Wales have gone on strike in the latest round of their long-running row over changes to their pensions and retirement age.
The 24-hour stoppage is the longest so far in the dispute that has been going on for three years.
The union says the pension proposals are unfair and unaffordable, but ministers have accused the union of disrupting negotiations.
