Eastbourne pier: Cameron praises emergency response

The Prime Minister and the Chancellor have visited Eastbourne Pier to see the destruction caused by a fire two days ago.

The government has announced that up to £2m will be given to the resort.

David Cameron said much of the pier had been saved by the" incredible bravery, professionalism and hard work" of the emergency services.
