Miliband: IS advance has 'catastrophic consequences'

Ed Miliband has warned that Islamic State's advance in Iraq has had "catastrophic consequences" which will worsen without intervention.

He was speaking in favour of UK involvement in air strikes against the militants in Iraq.

The leader of the opposition acknowledged that it will be a "difficult mission" which "will take time".
