'Kinship carers' should get more support, says charity

A charity is calling for the government to do more to support those looking after their relatives' children.

Grandparents Plus says so-called kinship carers, who look after around 300,000 children in the UK, do not have the same legal rights as officially appointed foster parents and as a result, face unfair discrimination.
