Szabo medals staying in UK is 'wonderful', says daughter

The daughter of World War Two spy Violette Szabo thinks it is "wonderful" that her medals will be staying in the UK following their sale at auction.

Violette Szabo was awarded the George Cross for her work with British Special Operations Executive posthumously; she was killed by the Gestapo in 1945.

Tania Szabo thinks it is "an excellent result" that the medals will now go on display at the Imperial War Museum and "continue to inspire".
