Two Libyans identified by Crown Office as Lockerbie suspects

Scottish prosecutors want to question two new suspects in the Lockerbie bombing case, 27 years after what was the biggest terror attack on British soil.

They believe the two suspects from Libya were involved along with Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, the only person ever to have been convicted of the bombing of Pan-Am Flight 103 in 1988 which killed 270 people.

Scotland's Lord Advocate and the US Attorney General have requested permission from the Libyan authorities to interview the two men.

Lorna Gordon reports.
