Thousands of British children have no place to call home

An investigation carried out by housing charity Shelter has found that thousands of British children have no place to call home.

Families with children rarely experience the most visible symptom of homelessness, sleeping rough.

However the number of families living in temporary accommodation such as hostels and B&Bs has risen to its highest level for seven years.
