David Cameron makes case for 'better EU deal'

The prime minister has written to the president of the European Council, to set out the "better deal" he says Britain wants from its EU membership.

David Cameron said that reaching agreement with the 27 other leaders was a big, but not impossible task.

Those keen for Britain to leave the union have said the renegotiations are a gimmick.
