Jo Cox's family 'can be proud of everything she did' - Corbyn

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has reacted to the death of Labour MP Jo Cox, who was shot and stabbed during an attack in her constituency.

Mr Corbyn said "the whole of the Labour family are devastated", and that her family could "be proud of everything she did and stood for".

Both official EU referendum campaigns have suspended their operations as a mark of respect.

West Yorkshire Police said a 52-year-old man was arrested near Market Street, Birstall, where the MP held a weekly advice surgery.
