Parents' anger at baby deaths NHS trust

A mother has told the BBC she believes her baby's death could have been avoided, after he was born under the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has ordered a review of deaths and other maternity errors at the trust, after at least seven avoidable deaths occurred between September 2014 and May 2016.

Jack was born in March 2015 but died within hours, of hypoxia and Group B Strep.

The trust told the BBC that it did investigate the death, but acknowledged it had not included the family in its inquiry.

After the BBC highlighted her case, the local coroner is considering opening an inquest.
